Sacmi Whiteware continues to expand in Vietnam

In 2003 Sacmi launched important new business ties with Vietnam by building complete

In 2003 Sacmi launched important new business ties with Vietnam by building complete sanitaryware production plants for the Cosevco and Viglacera groups. For Sacmi, Vietnam is a fast-growing market. In a country where the ceramic and sanitaryware industry is expanding rapidly, the Imola-based cooperative is already a key technological partner for local producers. In 2003 Sacmi successfully installed two complete sanitaryware production plants for the industrial groups Cosevco and Viglacera, respectively located at Da Nang, in central Vietnam, and in HoChiMinh City.

As well as building the plants Sacmi has also provided local partners with comprehensive training on all aspects of the production cycle. Moreover, fully developed mould models have been supplied. Viglacera has also chosen Sacmi technology to renew its Viet Tri Sanitariware plant (a few kilometres outside Hanoi) and boost its output capacity. Last but not least, 2003 also saw Sacmi supply kilns and driers to two other key players on the Vietnam sanitaryware scene, Thien Than and Caesar.
