Sacmi a key partner in South America’s biggest project

Thanks to this order, Fanaloza (Cisa Group) will produce one million pieces a year in Chile

Penco, in south Chile, lies close to the city of Concepción and is the location of the main headquarters of Fanaloza, which has just finished testing all the machines supplied by Sacmi for a new one-million-pieces-a-year production line.

More specifically, this South American plant has just installed and started up a shuttle kiln, a tunnel kiln and three AVE 040 machines for the production of stick-on rim WCs. Moreover, Fanaloza can now count on an ALS 150 L for the production of washbasins and pedestals and four robotised glazing lines, of which three are for WCs, washbasins and pedestals – just about the entire range of pieces – and one is for the glazing of one-piece items.

One of Sacmi’s key partners, Fanaloza belongs to the Cisa Group, which has factories throughout America: outside Chile it is, for example, a leader in Venezuela and Ecuador, where it has its own distribution network, while in the United States Cisa controls the renowned Briggs brand. And that’s not all: the project completed in Penco is, when one takes the overall sanitaryware business into consideration, the biggest to be completed in South America in the last five years. So the partnership with Sacmi is thus an essential one, both for the customer and the development of the South American market in general.
