Sacmi and Eczacibasi: the partnership goes from strength to strength

Glazing operations at Vitra get a boost from a Gaiotto robot

Another GA 2000 robot was recently installed at the Bozüyük plant belonging to Turkish sanitaryware giant Vitra Eczacibasi, resulting in improved overall efficiency of their glazing department.

Key features of this latest Vitra investment include the advanced glaze delivery and recovery systems.

Working in conjunction with the Mass Control system, the new Gaiotto-developed GDA80 spray gun can, thanks to its compactness, reach every parts of every sanitaryware piece; moreover, it combines programme precision and repeatability with improved reliability and absolutely minimal maintenance thanks to the replacement of crucial parts.

The glaze savings attained with the GA 2000 robot are provided by a system that ensures full glaze recovery via the use of dry-filter booths.
Its benefits include not only lower costs per unit of glaze sprayed. The environmental impact has also been reduced thanks to a drastic reduction in booth wash water contamination and working conditions for glazing personnel have also been improved.
The Gaiotto glazing robot is also equipped with a new integrated Mass Control system which has a universal operator interface, already in Turkish (other available languages include Russian, Arabic and Chinese) so that local personnel will find it easier to use.
