Sacmi and Kirov: an ongoing partnership

Close collaboration with Russian sanitaryware producer continues. Plaster mould drier tested.

Russian sanitaryware manufacturers Zao Kirovskij Strojfarfor have, once again, asked Sacmi to install another static plaster mould drier at their production plant.
This machine can dry up to 144 plaster moulds using a 3 - 3.5-day cycle at a maximum temperature of 90°C. The drier comes complete with a PLC electrical panel that allows the drying curve to be managed via automatic control of humidity and temperature parameters. The moulds are positioned inside the drier in wire baskets (dimensions 1000 mm x 1100 mm x H1200 mm); each one contains two moulds and the baskets are stacked in pairs.
The drier has been divided into two chambers to optimise drying cycles and maximise production flexibility. It is heated with steam at 110°C, but gas and super-heated steam versions are also available.
