Sacmi and Osterwalder announce industrial partnership

Cutting edge technology for powder metal presses

Osterwalder AG, Lyss, Switzerland, and Sacmi Imola S.C., Imola, Italy, join forces in the area of large PM press technology.
Sacmi and Osterwalder will combine their strengths and know-how to achieve the most efficient supply of PM presses with forces higher than 2000 kN, without affecting the "personal touch" on those design concepts which identify each of their Brands.
The Companies will continue to offer, develop and improve their press series: Osterwalder its well-proven UPP and KPP series and Sacmi its new developed MPH series.
In this partnership, the role of Sacmi, well-known producer of big presses ranging up to 250 MN, will be to build the best production system for the equipment, taking advantage by its highly efficient and industrialized manufacturing technique, leaving Osterwalder free to focus on continuous development, engineering, sales and service of its UPP and KPP series through its global network.

Finally, this cooperation allows Sacmi to maximize the efficiency of its production capacity for big presses in Italy and Osterwalder to optimize its plant in Lyss, Switzerland for the manufacturing of servo-electric driven compaction technology for hard metal and special material applications as well as presses for iron powder up to 2000 kN.
