The MUSP laboratory, the applied research centre specialising in the study of machine tools and production systems, with a line of activity dedicated to the study and development of innovative materials, has contacted Sacmi to purchase a press for use in the aluminium foam production process.
At the Piacenza laboratory, in fact, a PH 150 equipped with a mould for powder compaction will be installed; this press is needed to produce aluminium foam, a material that is being used more and more at industrial level in a wide range of applications, from machine tools to automotive.
In keeping with the long-standing Group philosophy of engaging in research into new applications and continuous product diversification, Sacmi is delighted to be working with the MUSP Laboratory in the production process of this material.
