Sacmi digital machine for trims

The first digital Sacmi/Intesa machine for the manufacture of porcelain tile trims was recently put through final testing.

It is installed at San Valentino Manifatture Ceramiche Spa, a company owned by the Nalio family (the photo shows Massimo and Niccolò with Giuseppe Miselli, Sacmi’s area manager for Italy).

The latest-generation COLORA HD project was first developed at the Imola-based R&D facility with Benedetto Spinelli (technological vice manager) and was then developed for industrial-scale use in the ceramic sector.

Featuring the CRONO system, its outstanding flexibility allows users to manufacture tiles of any thickness, length or shape, a characteristic essential for ‘third fire’ specialists like San Valentino Manifatture Ceramiche.

Another big step forwards, then, for the alliance between multi-national Sacmi and manufacturers who personalise products “to ensure we continue providing Italian companies with rewarding partnerships”, as Miselli commented.

On his part, Massimo Nalio stated that “only through developments made at Sacmi and their subsequent transfer to the factory have we learned how to produce a flexible machine suitable for every product type and colour”.
