Sacmi flies to Moscow for Batimat

The very best of Italian technology will soon be taking centre-stage at the 2016 Batimat edition (the international exhibition of construction materials and equipment that, last year, attracted over 72,000 industry pros from all over the world). To be held from 5th to 8th April 2016 at the Crocus Expo in Moscow, this important event brings together technology manufacturers, distributors and raw material suppliers from numerous sectors - from architecture to construction, from interior finishing to design - and will see Sacmi play a key role with its Tiles and Whiteware divisions.

On stand 6-370 (Pavilion 2, Hall 6), located inside the collective Acimac (Association of Italian Manufacturers of Ceramic Machinery) area, visitors can get a close look at Sacmi’s latest technological advances. These will include samples of tiles obtained via the Continua technology, the solution for manufacturing large decorated slabs that has naturally evolved into Continua+ and that is winning ever-broader market acclaim on account of its capacity to create unparalleled aesthetic effects on smooth or structured surfaces without any size or thickness constraints. The stand will also feature a large screen showing several high-definition videos. In addition to a video showing the Continua+ in action, there will also be videos on the latest digital decoration solutions developed by Sacmi-Intesa. Further videos will illustrate the EkoKiln, the innovative made-in-Sacmi kiln that adopts cutting-edge technical solutions to reduce both environmental impact and energy consumption. Then, of course, there is the entire Eko end-of-line family: from the new EkoSort sorting system, which guarantees maximum flexibility throughout the product sorting process, with efficient handling of even the largest sizes, to the EkoWrap and EkoRoll packaging systems: the latter allow considerable product packaging savings in terms of both cost per pack and case storage/warehousing.

Alongside the cutting-edge range of Sacmi tile-making systems will be innovative Sanitaryware manufacturing solutions, which hinge on high pressure casting systems that incorporate over thirty years’ expertise in modelling and technological development and ensure efficient handling of even the most complex articles.

The Russian market is strategic to the Group’s growth prospects. Sacmi enjoyed success there for decades through its "Moscow Representative Office" and, as of 2004, has had a proper local headquarters, "OOO Sacmi Moscow LTD", capable of providing customers with close support at every stage, from initial design to after-sales service and spare parts.
