Sacmi plants for Indian firm Euro Ceramics

Installation of complete sanitaryware production line now at an advanced stage

Euro Ceramics Ltd has been on the Indian market for just five years. Nevertheless, it has already become one of the country’s biggest producers of floor/wall tiles, kitchen ceramic and sanitaryware, its distinctive feature being attention to quality and compliance with the industry’s international standards.

Attentive to technological innovation ever since its founding, Euro Ceramics is currently completing what is a key sanitaryware investment plan, as it is in the process of starting up the first phase of a new plant able to produce 250,000 pieces a year. And when the new 102-metre STK 300 tunnel kiln – at present going through the start up procedure – becomes operative overall plant capacity will touch 750,000. Wholly Sacmi-supplied, the plant features casting bench batteries and a robotized glazing carousel: features that ensure products of outstanding quality and especially high productivity.

While its registered office is in Mumbai, Euro Ceramics has focussed all its output facilities in the Gujarat; many of its plants feature Sacmi-made machines and plants. It is not only the sanitaryware plant that makes use of Sacmi technology: the same is equally true for Euro Ceramics’ tile-producing operations. Note the vastness of the Euro Group’s core business, which ranges from aluminium profiles, wood laminates, aggregate marble and glass to CD Roms (the second-largest Indian producer with output rates of 500,000 discs a day).
