Sacmi-supplied MPH 200 impresses German firm Schunk Sintermetalltechnik

This is the first solution of this type to be installed by the company, a specialised supplier of hi-tech components for the automotive industry

Already having won widespread market acclaim and several prestigious international awards, the Sacmi MPH press line for the processing of metal powders has now attracted the attention of German firm Schunk Sintermetalltechnik, a specialist in the processing of sintered metal powders and, more specifically, the production of hi-tech engine and transmission components for the automotive industry.

The installed press – an MPH 200 - allows the user to make items of complex geometry and ensures a dimensional accuracy up to ± 0.025 mm. Located at the high end of the market in terms of performance, it offers high precision, reliability and outstanding productivity. Moreover, it has a compact configuration that lets users perform all the necessary quality control tasks at high speed and directly in line.

For Schunk Sintermetalltechnik this is the first such solution to be installed at its facility in Thale: a clear indicator, then, of their keen interest and trust in Sacmi’s plant engineering solutions for the metal powder industry, a growing strategic sector that has, in recent years, provided the Group with high potential for growth and development.
