One of Russia’s oldest ceramic firms, Kirovskaya Keramica 1853 has grown constantly over the course of the years, increasing the quality of its traditional products while investing in new sectors to extend and complete its product range for the building industry. One of the most important investment decisions of the last few years regards the sanitaryware line, especially the new body preparation room, supplied by Sacmi.
Tested successfully at the start of the summer, the system has been designed to manage body ‘recipes’ automatically and has a daily output capacity in the order of 155 tons, giving an annual production of no less than 2 million pieces. Fully made in Italy, the line consists of 10 load cells with automatic extractors, three MTD 340 mills and the same number of TFP 120 blungers. Storage vats, load conveyors, link conveyors and PLC-controlled system management accessories complete the order.
The system also allows automatic batching, in the correct percentages, of both raw materials and the waste material coming from the kiln: these are then transferred to the dedicated grinding department, also supplied by Sacmi. Slip storage and management of the blunging phases have been set up in way that allows the body to ‘mature’ properly before it is sent on to the casting department.
Located in the city of Kirov, Kirovskaya Keramica 1853 has stood out on the internal market for some time as a result of outstanding, certified product quality. Now, thanks to the cutting-edge technology and high degree of automation of the new line supplied by Sacmi, the company can reinforce and increase its share of the sanitaryware market.
