Sacmi technology triumphs in Morocco

An exceptional first for the latest Sacmi plant installed in Morocco, at the Super Cerame factory near Berrechid. Designed to produce a remarkable 23,400 square metres of single-fire tile a day, output has already been boosted to 25,000 m2. The plant inauguration was attended by the country’s Minister for Industry M. Ahmed Réda CHAMI, by the owner of the Ynna Holding Group, to which Super Cerame belongs, M. Miloud CHAABI and Mr. Fouad BENZAKOUR, Super Cerame’s General Manager and President of the Morocco Ceramic Industry Professional Association (APIC),

The new plant features a wealth of impressive technology, which ranges from the two modular MMC mills (the first to be installed Morocco) to the ATM spray drier and the four innovative PH 3020 presses, from the materials preparation and pressing department to the multi-channel tile driers. Four ECPs are installed at Super Cerame, while the firing department can rely on two cutting-edge FMP kilns, bristling with accessories.

In addition to the technical specifications, which provide the Moroccan company with outstanding qualitative and quantitative production performance, the plant also has numerous innovations relating to energy saving. The most important of these is the heat recovery system, which minimises the need for gas (the cost of which is particularly high in Morocco); water treatment and raw material recovery systems also make an important contribution to environmental profile.
