Sama presents the new LPP1S-38 press in China

Workshop at Sacmi Nanhai on 27th May, to coincide with Ceramics China

Plates of any shape, made using the world’s leading tableware manufacturing technology. This, then, is the advantage of the isostatic pressing solutions developed by Sama, the Sacmi Group company specialising in tableware, which is getting ready for an in-depth workshop to be held next 27th May at Sacmi Nanhai, the Group’s Chinese base and pivotal reference point for the entire area.

At the workshop – to be held during Ceramics China 2011 – visitors will be able to see the new LPP1S-38 press, which draws on Sacmi’s decades of experience in constructing heavy duty presses, and the highly flexible, reliable and practical OFM8 universal robot for product deburring and sponge-wiping.

This new press –with technical characteristics that range from outstanding flexibility of use to lower costs compared to traditional pressing technologies – is the evolution of the previous series (LPP-1-38 and LPP-2-38) and stands out on account of its capacity to handle plates and dishes that are not round, or even ones that are asymmetric, at output rates of up to 300 pieces/hour (500 where the articles are round or up to 450 cups complete with handle, but also recipients with squared edges and other tableware items).

Visitors can reach the workshop directly from Ceramics China – departure at 9 a.m. from the Sacmi stand – and, in the morning, attend a talk by Sama’s General Manager, to be followed by a technical report showing participants the advantages of isostatic pressing in tableware production compared to other currently used methods. Then, in the afternoon, there will be a practical demonstration so that visitors can enjoy a first-hand look at the output performance of the machine, which will be on display and working at Sacmi Nanhai for the entire duration of the fair, from 26th to 29th May.
