Sanikey decides to glaze with Gaiotto again

Third Gaiotto robotized glazing system set up at the new Istanbul plant

Just 8 months after starting up a second glazing system, a third automatic Gaiotto glazing system became operative in December 2014 following its installation at Sanikey’s Istanbul plant.

This extremely versatile system is suitable for all Vitreous China and Fine Fire Clay models. The fact that it was fully operational after just two weeks once again highlights how solutions by Gaiotto – a Sacmi Group company –are extremely easy to install and start up.

The outstanding versatility of the integrated glazing centre and the ease with which it can be programmed (it features a joystick control with a display already programmed in Turkish) allowed Sanikey technicians to begin manufacturing immediately - with excellent results.

Like its predecessors, this third integrated glazing centre consists of a 4-position carousel with a dry glazing booth that is fully controlled by the GA2000 robot (there is no PLC). All machine functions and settings are entered directly via the new joystick.

Sanikey also requested that the configuration include the new GDA80 spray gun by Gaiotto, presented at Tecnargilla 2014: this part of the system is, in fact, essential to quality at the spraying stage. Both the new GDA80 and Mass Control are incorporated in the GA2000 software, ensuring full parameter control of each individual programme.

With this latest order, Sanikey aims to reinforce its relations with the Sacmi Group even further. In this case it has done so by inserting a glazing booth with a dry filtration system on the integrated glazing centre, clearly demonstrating the company’s ever-greater attention to issues of environmental pollution and the careful management of resources, especially water.

Reliable, precise and efficient, this third Gaiotto plant will allow Sanikey to boost its daily output of automatically glazed pieces while ensuring the very highest quality standards.

Once again, the Sacmi Group has demonstrated its unique capacity to give customers all the flexibility, reliability, simplicity and quality they need.
