Sanindusa and Sacmi, a long-lasting partnership

Sacmi supplies an ADS150 pressure casting system

Sacmi has recently supplied to the Portuguese group a multi-mould ADS 150 pressure casting system able to produce articles such as kitchen sinks measuring up to 1500 x 700 mm and shower trays as large as 1200 x 900 mm: up to 9 moulds can be installed.

Key features include the following:

  • New mould holder carriages that are easily adaptable to moulds of different shapes and sizes, allowing the latter to be changed over quickly.
  • A laser-guided mould positioning system, simplifying the mould changeover procedure.
  • Models requiring horizontal or vertical de-moulding can be produced simultaneously.
  • De-moulded pieces can be set down on both the visible side and underside.
  • De-moulding is executed by a robot mounted on an eccentric, eliminating the need for costly slides and complex maintenance tasks.
  • De-moulded pieces can be deposited directly on the dryer cars bother vertically and horizontally.

The above investment represents yet another step forwards in the long-standing sanitaryware production partnership between the Sanindusa Group and the Sacmi Group; a partnership that focuses on rationalising and optimising industrial processes, especially as regards problems concerning the management of different product mixes that, to all intents and purposes, require real-time modification, a need that has become ever-more important in recent years.
