TRLK and SACMI: a new name, same partners

Two new presses to be installed in 2013 at Belpahar Works, India

Established in 1958, TRL Krosaki Refractories Limited (formerly Tata Refractories Limited) is today the major refractory company in India, with a consolidated installed capacity of more than 250,000 ton per year and a turnover crossing 10 Million Indian rupees.

After merging in 2011 with Krosaki Harima Corporation (KHC), a leading Japanese refractory player with global presence and advanced technology, KHC and TRL Krosaki  have jointly emerged as the 4th largest refractories manufacturer in the world.

This merging has even more increased the strive for process improvements and state of art production facilities, which have always characterized TRLK business model, leading to the set-up of a complete refurbishment of the Flow Control Products Department at Belpahar Works, the main TRLK plant in India.
A major role in the new project is played by SACMI, which has been a TRLK technological partner for almost 15 years, working side by side in many successful projects.

Later this year, in fact, press no. 12th and no. 13th will be installed in the new FCP department: the former will be a PHR550 for nozzles production equipped with upper & lower differential filling blocks and central pin to allow smooth density distribution in particularly complex shaped products.

The latter, a PHR2500, will be dedicated to slide plates production using vacuum pressing technology in order to achieve higher productivity and better product physical characteristics.
These very special presses will as well feature all the usual characteristics, such us the automatic feedback controlled pressing cycle correction, granting the product quality and high efficiency for which SACMI is renewed worldwide.
