The largest press in the world soon to come to Spain

Rocersa ceramica chooses Sacmi to expand their production plant in Alcora

The investment decision falls within an extensive plan to reorganize production: Spanish Rocersa Ceramica has installed a new Sacmi model FMS 2950 kiln 128.1 meters long in its production plant in Alcora, in the province of Castellòn de la Plana. Two lines consisting of a PH 6200 press, EVA 984 vertical drier and tunnel drier feed the  kiln.

These new machines, supplied by Sacmi, were put into service last Spring. Production plant expansion will be completed by the end of September with the addition of a new line consisting of a PH 7500 XXL press and special version of the EVA 984 model drier, higher than normal, manufactured by Sacmi. The PH 7500 XXL will be the first press of this type ever installed worldwide.  With a clearance of 2450 mm and maximum pressing force of  7,500 tons, this model is the largest hydraulic press existing for the production of tiles.   Thanks to its remarkable technical features the machine is the perfect solution for pressing two units of 800 x 800 mm porcelainized stoneware simultaneously, as for other large and oversized formats widely offered on today’s market.
