VENISSA CERAMICS is a new Ukrainian ceramics producer, founded with the ambitious aim of positioning itself at the top end of the market with products of both technological and aesthetic excellence. Which explains why they contacted Sacmi, the industry’s technological leader, to have a TWINPRESS plant installed (the very first in the CIS zone).
This production technology represents a turning point in the development of the ceramic industry, a system where highly evolved aesthetic factors and manufacturing innovation are blended to perfection. TWINPRESS, in fact, associates dry and wet decoration processes to achieve high output rates and outstanding aesthetic results that would be unattainable with traditional systems.
Now undergoing final assembly, plant start-up is imminent. This is a complete Sacmi production plant; starting with a continuous mill and ending with sorting systems, it includes a PH4600 tied-structure press and an FMP kiln that features a 2850 mm wide infeed and exchanger-type heat recovery for optimisation of consumption.
Large 1200x600 mm ceramic slabs will be produced: these can be cut unfired with the Mondrian TPD machine, the first ceramic machine capable of reducing the ceramic product into smaller, modular sizes, thus enhancing realistic imitation of veining and other natural stone effects even further.
With TWINPRESS technology, VENISSA CERAMICS will be able to create surfaces similar to marble, stone and earthenware. Subsequent processes will gloss, lap or polish them like natural stone as the plant also includes polishing and finishing lines.
Furthermore, thanks to technological support from KEMAC, another Sacmi Group company, VENISSA CERAMICS will be expanding its product range with porcelain ceramic mosaics and rosettes, obtained using water-jet cutting machines.
Supported by the experience and technology of an industry leader like SACMI and thanks to an efficient sales network, VENISSA CERAMICS is perfectly placed to play its role as a technologically cutting-edge “leader” in what is a difficult, competitive yet fast-expanding market that includes the Ukraine and, more generally, all CIS states.
