Two complete plants for the production of extruded tiles and cotto trims

Two complete plants for the production of extruded tiles and cotto trims are currently being assembled in Vietnam. One of the plants is located in the splendid Ha-Long bay, in the north-east of the country, while its “twin” is in the south, in the province of Binh Duong, just outside Ho Chi Minh City. Both plants have been designed to produce over 1,000,000 m²/year of 300 x 300 mm tile; they will also be able to produce other sizes in the 200 x 200 - 500 x 500 mm range plus trims such as single/double step pieces, cove base and angles. Each line features: Dry grinding in hammer mills, mixing and wetting in discontinuous planetary mixers, homogenisation, extrusion, disc-cutter division, rapid drying in multi-channel E4P roller driers and firing in JMS / FMS single-layer roller kilns with pre-heating modules. The kiln infeed features a two-car TR-type roller storage system; at the kiln outlet the product is conveyed to the automatic MASTER sorting system or a manual trim sorting line. Both lines are expected to be fully operational by the end of the summer and will allow output to be doubled without any modification to the grinding departments (originally designed to handle such output levels) being necessary.
