With its high-pressure casting machines Sacmi strengthens its presence at the Turkish sanitaryware giant

An important Sacmi supply to Vitra providing quality, reliability and flexibility

The Turkish manufacturer Vitra Eczaçıbası, market leader in the sanitaryware field with a production capacity of more than 5 million sanitaryware articles per year at the company’s  Bozüyük factory, has once more chosen Sacmi technology for the high-pressure casting of WC bowls with a single-mould set-up

Vitra decided to purchase two AVM150 machines whose distinguishing feature is a high level of flexibility allowing the manufacturer to respond to a market requiring frequent changes in models whilst causing as little disruption as possible to the flow of production.

Vitra is continuing in a steady and decisive manner in its progress from traditional casting to high pressure technology in order to meet its stated objective of improvement in production quality combined with energy savings and sustainable development.

The multi-national Eczaçıbası group, founded in 1942 and consisting of 39 companies with almost 11.000 employees, had a consolidated turnover of nearly 2.3 billion euro in 2011 of which 890 million resulted from the “Building Products” Division with 60% made up of exports to high-quality markets such as the European Union, UK and United States as well as towards emerging markets such as Russia and the Middle East.
