Benco Pack gets its teeth into fast food

Benco Pack, a Piacenza-based Sacmi Group company specialised in the production of thermoforming machines, is official filling machine supplier to the French company Gyma-Teampack: so from now on the ketchup, mayonnaise and sauce sachets used in major fast food and catering chains such as McDonalds, Kentucky Fried Chicken and Pizza Hut will be made using Sacmi technology.
Gyma-Teampack, in fact, produces the one-dose and multi-layer polypropylene packs with plastic (as opposed to aluminium) lid seals used by the fast food and catering industries. The Benco Pack machines chosen for the Gyma-Teampack plant, in Carpentras near Avignone, are Minpack/20-b units, capable of hot-filling 26 thousand 17-40 ml containers per hour. The machines are equipped with servo-mechanical actuators (as opposed to hydraulic or pneumatic devices) and feature a special connection for remote assistance purposes.
