Inpak Imola: from now on, call it Sacmi Packaging

Sacmi Packaging: a new company which, as of today, will be heading both Inpak Imola and Carle&Montanari Packaging. Sacmi Packaging will occupy both the Imola-based Inpak plant and the Carle & Montanari Packaging plant in Bologna. This change is part of the ongoing development of the Sacmi Group wrapping and packaging machine sector, which began with the 1986 takeover of Inpak (an Imola-based company specialising in the design and construction of machines and complete plants for wrapping and palletization) and continued with the acquisition of Carle&Montanari in 2003. This new “container” company leaves both product brands - and, of course, quality and technology - fully intact. On one side there is Inpak, an international leader in the production of fruit and vegetable tray forming machines, cartoning machines and palletizing systems; on the other there is Carle&Montanari Packaging, a brand with long-standing experience in the wrapping of sweets, chocolate and soap. “Thanks to the maintenance of familiar brand names, easily recognisable symbols of outstanding quality, and the new company name”, comments Roberto Marcheselli, General Manager of Sacmi Packaging, “we can continue with tradition while offering our customers new packaging solutions that combine the strengths of both brands. As Sacmi Packaging, we’ll be able to provide comprehensive solutions, challenge the competition and meet the needs of a market that is characterised more and more often by large-scale mergers”.
