SACMI 4.0 solutions at CBST 2017 in Shanghai

The eighth international exhibition dedicated to technology and innovative solutions for the beverage industry opens on 22nd November in Shanghai (New International Expo Centre, 22-24 November 2017). For SACMI this is - following great feedback from the last editions of the bi-annual CBST fair - an exciting opportunity to showcase major developments concerning both the technological range and the new platforms that, with an eye to Industry 4.0, allow integration and total control of the production process.

Present in the area with SACMI Shanghai, SACMI Changsu and SACMI Nanhai not just branches handling all the aftermarket and spare parts aspects but actual manufacturing facilities where solutions are specifically designed for the Chinese market the Group is currently fielding numerous new developments for the packaging-beverage industry. These aim to provide manufacturers with new opportunities while simultaneously boosting competitiveness and plant performance.

Alongside individual technological solutions such as the CCM cap-making compression press range and the IPS injection press for preform manufacture, which offers the market unequalled productivity, low consumption and versatility SACMI also provides cutting-edge process management solutions. For example, the CPB magazine synchronises the cap and preform production processes, minimising handling and semi-finished item sanitisation costs, allowing unprecedented levels of upstream integration with the stretch-blowing, filling and labelling line.

Sacmi, which recently developed HEROBLOCK, the quadblock that combines the blowing, filling, capping and bottle labelling stages in an all-in-one solution, also offers the plant engineering plus of a complete range of inspection systems. The latter are perfectly integrated on the line and designed to dialogue with sensors on individual machines and with the advanced H.E.R.E. (Human Expertise for Reactive Engineering) platform, the modern plant supervisor presented by Sacmi at recent international fairs and tested in the field by leading players in the Ceramics, Packaging, and Food Processing industries.

Key H.E.R.E advantages include the ability to interface with the customer's ERP, offering a fresh approach to production and warehouse management. The result: advanced diagnostic and predictive maintenance services provided by the new system mesh smoothly with SACMI's existing cutting-edge solutions, such as the remote assistance software which ensures manufacturers have access to a specialised technician 7 days a week, allowing them to sort out the most commonly encountered problems and maximise production line performance.

The over 20,000 visitors expected at CBST will have a great opportunity to see the SACMI world at the Group stand (n° 1A05, 95 m2), where company staff will be on hand to illustrate all the very latest solutions in the range. More specifically, an eye-catching videowall presentation will illustrate an array of new developments concerning both individual machines/technologies and process integration/supervision. An approach, then, that goes hand in glove with the SACMI Group's long-standing policy of ensuring a well organised in-country presence, with dedicated branches and facilities that put us as close as possible to both customers and markets.
