Sacmi, flexibility and automation for the wine-making industry

At Simei 2015 (FieraMilano, 3-6 November) Sacmi will showcase its new range of KUBE modular labellers plus its Bag in Box aseptic rotary fillers

Sacmi will be playing a pivotal role at the international Simei fair (Hall. 15, Stand E 11-13), a key event for wine, beverage and food operators for over 50 years. At this 26th edition of the event – to be held at FieraMilano from 3rd to 6th November 2015 – Sacmi will be displaying its latest labelling technology in the form of the KUBE series, a new range of solutions specially designed for the wine and food industries that can meet every possible packaging need with maximum flexibility and precision and at low cost.

Visitors to the 160 m2 exhibition area, about half of which will be dedicated to the new labelling machine, will have a great opportunity to take a close look at a highly innovative, flexible machine, the displayed version of which can reach speeds of up to 9,000 applications per minute using multiple labelling technologies. Key features include a fully stainless steel structure and excellent modularity, with labelling units external to the carousel ensuring both flexibility of use and user-friendly maintenance.

The KUBE labeller is equipped with a universal screw feeder to handle all bottle types (from a minimum of 60 up to a maximum of 120 mm in diameter) flexibly and efficiently without any need to change the screw. Equally innovative is the patented Sacmi bottle orientation system, which ensures, with just one camera and one sensor, correct orientation of sparkling wine caps, raised on-glass logos or glass moulding seams.

In an international scenario where beverage consumption stands at well over 6 billion hectoliters per year, with good prospects for further expansion and growth, especially on emerging markets, Sacmi will be taking full advantage of the opportunities offered by the 26th edition of the international Simei exhibition to display, alongside new labelling systems, its tried and tested range of Bag In Box fillers. Unique in terms of compactness, efficiency and process hygiene - thanks to innovative filling valves and the nitrogen injection system.

The distinguishing features of the new machine are compactness, high productivity, devices that help avoid not just potential contamination but also product leakage. A machine, then, that offers a perfect plant engineering solution for wine products, soft drinks and syrups.
