2/8/2007 Sacmi Imola Closures at MEAF PET 2007, Dubai
Innovative compression-made plastic caps conquer continually expanding markets | Sacmi Imola heads for the United Arab Emirates. The occasion? Meaf PET 2007, the international PET business conference being held in Dubai this coming 26 and 27 February. Vezio Bernardi, Sales Manager of the Closures Division, will be taking part in the event by giving a talk on “Compression in the world of plastic caps”.
In addition to illustrating the consistent growth trends in the beverage cap market and the fast-growing utilisation of compression technology worldwide, Bernardi will also be looking at the future development prospects for this business unit, starting with the latest machines: these are at their most competitive in the single-piece cap industry yet are also highly suitable for new cap design types and relative pre-forms and provide the user with significantly lower production costs without in any way compromising finished product quality. To round things off, participants will also be provided with an overview of the characteristics and potential of the SACMI Group and the benefits it can being to the beverage world.
The conference will be held at the Renaissance Dubai Hotel, in the Al Thuraya Ballroom. The starting point for this 2007 edition – and a comforting one for those in the industry – is the fact that growth prospects on African and Middle Eastern markets are looking good. Analysts do, in fact, agree that these areas are going to keep on expanding steadily at an average rate of 7% a year over the coming five years, not only with regard to bottled water but also, the experts confirm, in the emerging milk and fruit juice markets.
