Sacmi beverage heads for Upak 2009 - from 27th to 30th January

From filling and labelling technologies to integrated thermoplastic processing solutions

Packaging technology continues to race towards innovation and towards the conquest of new markets. So it is no chance occurrence that one of the industry’s biggest international fairs is being held in Moscow, capital of one of the world’s most promising markets – and not just for packaging.
So it goes without saying that the sales teams of Sacmi Moscow, Sacmi Imola Closures&Containers Division, PET and Form Fill Seal [BENCO PACK], Sacmi Labelling and Sacmi Filling will be out in force on the Group’s stand, (Hall 2.1, stands n. 21C26 and 21B27).
More specifically, at Upak 2009 visitors will have the opportunity to see a new-concept filling machine from Sacmi Filling, the Group company that supplies complete lines covering everything from blowing to palletization by integrating other Sacmi-made machines. The exhibited machine model is the Volo-Mas 63/90/12, designed to produce sparkling drinks at rates of 20,000 BpH with 1.5-litre PET bottles.
Also on show will be a labelling machine produced by Sacmi Labelling, the Group company that offers a complete range of automatic machines for the labelling of glass, plastic and metal containers. In particular, the displayed model features an advanced automatic splicing system, which allows roll change without interrupting production.
Moreover, for some time now, the various Sacmi Group companies involved in the beverage industry have been investing heavily to offer customers not just a wide range of individual machines, but fully integrated production lines able to manage, with maximum size flexibility and outstanding output parameters, the entire blowing, filling, labelling, packaging and palletization process.
Also heading for the Russian capital will be Negri Bossi, A Sacmi Group company that is one of Europe’s leading designers and producers of thermoplastic processing machines; this year Negri Bossi has decided to “sacrifice” Interplastica, held in Moscow at the same time, in favour of showing off its comprehensive range of integrated moulding and post processing solutions at Upak.
More specifically, Negri Bossi will present visitors to the Group’s stand with a work island consisting of an integrated system for the production of spectacle lenses, developed jointly with other Group companies such as Sacmi Imola (supplier of the vision system) and Gaiotto (which provides the automation).
