Sacmi-developed Roll Fed technology showcased in Australia

The OPERA 200 RF (ROLLFED) labeller: productivity, flexibility and quick size changeovers, will be showcased at Auspack 2015

Auspack 2015 offers a great opportunity for the Sacmi Group to present its comprehensive plant engineering expertise for the beverage industry. In addition to labelling technology, the range also includes the best capsule, preform and container manufacturing solutions on the market as well as innovative systems for aseptic filling. A comprehensive turnkey plant range, then, that comes with the added value of a sales and after-sales assistance service covering five continents, providing customers with close support from the initial planning stage and throughout the working life of the machine or plant.

The star of the Sacmi display area at Auspack 2015 (Melbourne, 24-27 March 2015, stand n. 323), will be the OPERA 200 RF (ROLLFED) labeller, belonging to the machine range for the application of wrap-around plastic labels on plastic, glass or metal containers.

As part of its extensive range of labelling machines, Sacmi will also be showcasing Formsleeve +, an extremely innovative ALL IN ONE labelling system. This modular labelling machine creates a tubular sleeve, partial or complete, directly in the machine starting from an MDO (Machine Direction Orientated) reel; the material is fed through a series of motorized feeders that use vacuum technology and a liquid binder to seal the overlapping label flap before direct application on bottles or cans. A steam or heat tunnel positioned at the labeller outfeed completes the shrinking process. Website:

The Sacmi range also includes the Opera module, which lets end users reduce overall machine dimensions considerably and make installation easier thanks to outstanding flexibility and "plug & play" labelling technology (self-adhesive labels, plastic roll-fed labels, cold glue or hot glue paper labels). Each module consists of a labelling station mounted on a mobile carriage: this can easily be coupled to and detached from the machine base frame and replaced with other modules that provide different technologies or performance according to the user’s precise labelling requirements.
