Sacmi to present integrated solutions for the beverage industry at Jakarta

Group to play leading role at the Plastics & Rubber fair – to be held in the Indonesian capital from 19 to 22 November.

Sacmi Beverage has great expectations of Indonesia, a potential market of 30 million people where over 6,000 companies work in food & beverage, including some of the industry’s major multinational players. Hence the decision to take part in Plastics & Rubber Indonesia, the international fair being held in Jakarta from 19 to 22 November 2014.

The Sacmi stand (D-930) will be showcasing a full range of integrated beverage production solutions, from dual-cavity SBF (stretch blow forming) units to plastic and crown cap presses from the CCM and PTC series, solutions with which Sacmi has led the world and achieved a dominant market position in various process areas. A great opportunity, then, for visitors to get a close look at the new IPS platform for PET preform production, a solution characterised by outstanding system flexibility and very fast size changeovers, clearly demonstrating Sacmi’s multi-sector, multi-technology capabilities.

Characterised for over five years by integrated turnkey plant engineering solutions - covering everything from raw material to finished bottle - the Sacmi Beverage range is completed by an innovative range of modular labelling machines designed to work flexibly on various labelling systems (roll-fed, pre-cut hot-melt or cold glue, self-adhesive label reels) and on any type of container (cylindrical or shaped, glass, plastic or cans); then there’s the modular formsleeve+ labeller, Sacmi Labelling’s latest creation presented in 2013 and ever-more popular with the big-name players of the global beverage industry.
Filling solutions developed by Sacmi Filling have allowed the Group to increase market shares thanks also to synergies with cap machines and a cap portfolio that includes all the sizes used by the beverage industry: 28 mm 1716, 28 mm PCO, 28 mm PCO1881 and 38 mm.

Since 2013, the CCM range has been available with the an extra-powerful mould cooling system, COOL+, a solution that cuts cap cooling times and boosts productivity by up to 50% thanks to a dual cooling circuit inside the caps. This range, integrated at Group level, makes Sacmi an all-round provider of beverage solutions – starting with the cap production presses – that can be interlinked smoothly with the vision systems made by the Group’s Automation & Inspection System Division, thus ensuring direct in-line quality control (CVS range) and minimisation of potential defects and downtimes.

With branches and production facilities established in South-East Asia for years, the Sacmi Group is a key partner to global players in the beverage industry also in terms of close customer support; we provide, in fact, advanced after-sales services on five continents. Closeness to the customer and guaranteed quality (in 2014 the Group’s Closures research facility was Pepsi-certified) allow Sacmi to play a pivotal role in fast-growing markets like Indonesia where, in the ten-year period 2000-2009, the food&beverage industry has grown by 176.3%, generating business that, by the end of the period, was worth an estimated 200 billion dollars.
