Sacmi vision systems: a successful debut in the pharmaceutical sector

Sacmi Vision Systems Division has, for the first time, made a rotary quality control machine for the pharmaceutical industry: this bottle seal checker is designed to detect contaminants in phial and bottle contents as small as 25 microns.
The seal checker was developed together with the team from Bonfiglioli Engineering; this partnership-produced machine was jointly presented in Frankfurt last May on the occasion of Achema 2006, the international pharmaceutical industry trade fair. During this initial presentation the machine aroused considerable interest among visitors: marketing and sales will be carried out directly by Bonfiglioli Pharma Machinery.
From a technical viewpoint the seal checker has some highly interesting production features: it can control the container walls so as to weed out imperfections, bubbles and streaks and can also detect erroneous positioning of the bottle closure. Available in a range of configurations, it has from 3 to 9 cameras and also features the new CVS 3000 software platform.
