Powder Metallurgy, SACMI confirmed as EPMA Council member

Association brings together key players in the European sintered products industry. Membership provides new high-level project development opportunities in close collaboration with research bodies and universities

SACMI's place on the managing council of the European Powder Metallurgy Association (EPMA) - the Brussels-based association of European sintered product manufacturers - has been confirmed. The news was released at the Association's assembly which, in the meeting held on 21st March, elected SACMI to the role of Council member in the person of Matteo Federici, the SACMI Refractory and Metals BU Manager.

For SACMI, this collaboration is strategically important. Indeed, it is essential from both a networking standpoint (all the industry's key companies, working in areas as diverse as metal injection moulding and hot isostatic pressing, are association members) and in terms of the opportunities it presents for the development of further research projects with international facilities and universities.

In addition to providing training and organising high-level conferences, EPMA handles the communication and promotion of the technological results of research; this includes the drawing up of technical manuals and comprehensive profiles illustrating the evolution and use of sintered products in various industries and target markets.
