A wide range of machines to meet all the quality control requirements of PET preform manufacturers
Designed as an aid to day-to-day activities in the Quality Control Laboratory, PV002C performs high-precision inspection of transparent PET preforms, including the top-seal, the bottom, the body and the thread area. The inspection includes identification of colour defects, diameter and wall thickness measurements, perpendicularity, weight and colour. PVS002C can read the number of cavities moulded in the neck of the preform to produce statistics based on this number. This new version of the machine introduces the patented inspection module that applies innovative Artificial Intelligence tools to the inspection with Polarised Light. Thanks to an extremely fast and guided format change, the operator will be able to switch from one preform to another with different diameters, lengths and colours in a few simple steps, without the use of tools.
PVS-3 has been designed to be installed both in line to a new or existing injection moulding machine or in a warehouse to recheck batches of preforms stopped for defects. Complete with 8 cameras, it is able to control the top seal, the thread area, the wall and the end-cap of transparent preforms at a speed of up to 72,000 preforms/hour. It is also able to read the cavity number mould in the finish, produce statistics based on this number and sort by cavity number.
PVS-3 can also be equipped with dedicated cameras for the inspection of defects visible with polarized light.
With only 6.5 square meters of floor space occupied, PVS-5 has been designed to be easily installed in line to any new or existing injection molding machine of any manufacturer, in order to achieve a precise and immediate control of production. It includes an innovative and patented feeder, developed with particular attention to the gentle treatment of preforms in order to avoid scratches, dents or any other type of damage. PVS-5 is able to inspect the entire preform including the top seal, body, end-cap and finish at a speed of up to 60,000 preforms/hour, detecting both chromatic defects and defects visible with polarized light.
It can also read the cavity number mould in the finish area by producing production statistics or sorting by cavity number.
Equipped with the innovative D.R.I.V.A. system (Drive and Recognize through Intelligent Vision Algorithms), PVS10L guarantees the fastest format changeover available on the market. It takes less than a minute to automatically set up the line to inspect preforms of different sizes, diameters and colors. Thanks to D.R.I.V.A., the operator no longer has to set the preform parameters, which will be automatically measured by the system.
In addition to the defects commonly identified with the most conventional machine vision algorithms, the PVS10L is equipped with innovative Artificial Intelligence software, which allows to identify with maximum reliability all the defects normally visible only with polarized light.Read more
