RAK Bangladesh turns to SACMI to give its sanitaryware casting line a further boost

SACMI casting benches: a rock-solid investment for RAK Bangladesh, the country's leading ceramic sanitaryware manufacturer, which has now purchased an eleventh BMP for its plant in Dhaka. This purchase is part of a wider, long-term plan to invest in SACMI technology (for example, 2015 saw the installation of a new high output SACMI Riedhammer HWS kiln).

Intended to saturate kiln output capacity, this strengthening of the casting line is only one aspect of a broad-spectrum plan being enacted by RAK Bangladesh to develop automation, train up workers and increase output quality and manufacturing efficiency. Like the 8 solutions already in use, the just-installed BMP 280 casting bench is configured for the battery casting (up to 15 moulds) of  2-part moulds, covering a broad range of articles that include washbasins, pedestals, tanks, seat covers, squat pans, etc.

By going for a SACMI-supplied solution yet again, RAK Bangladesh – part of the global giant RAK Ceramics – is clearly aiming to achieve efficiency enhancement and saturate the output capacity of its sanitaryware line, which already produces 1.4 million pieces a year in a range of types.
