A new mission, then, for
Italiansped, the Sacmi Group company that specialises in
international shipping solutions. As part of a dual order for
five high tonnage PH series
presses (produced at Sacmi Imola) for two leading
ceramic manufacturers which have headquarters and production facilities in Mexico, Italiansped has arranged a tailor-made combined shipment. The
outsize load sailed from Ravenna on 14th January.
Loaded onto the BBC Germany – leased specially for this shipment and equipped with a
crane able to lift crates weighing up to 300 tons – the shipment will arrive at the Mexican port of Altamira at the start of February. Given the
considerable weight and bulk of the individual presses and the relative equipment, some parts have been dismantled, resulting in a total number of 16 crates weighing from 46 to 161 tons each.
On arriving at Altamira, the 4 crates containing one press will be picked up by the customer, while the other 12 crates containing the four remaining presses will be delivered directly by Italiansped to the customer's manufacturing plant: all part of the comprehensive service offered by Sacmi's shipping company which, on request, offers a
complete door-to-door service,
from factory to installation site.
