SACMI’s multi-layer cap technology conquers North America

Another SACMI CCMM compression press successfully passes the Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) entirely carried out remotely. This first supply to North America follows other CCMMs already sold and installed in Europe, further confirming the competitive advantages of compression technology.

A new direction and concept change which has already conquered Europe has now captured the North American market too. The SACMI Multilayer CCM, a compression moulding rotary machine for multi-layer caps for the food industry, sums up all the advantages of SACMI compression technology to guarantee top quality, low consumption and simple operations.
This acceptance test, successfully completed in full remote mode,  is an important result further demonstrating SACMI’s ability to provide structured services throughout the globe even overcoming physical barriers when it is not possible to be present in person.
The  machine supplied to North America is the latest CCMM to be sold, further to a number of solutions already installed in Europe. It is an additional signal of market interest in this technology which offers greater versatility in the handling of raw materials, reduced consumption, higher productivity and better quality than traditional systems.
Equipped with the most recent advanced sensor solutions – both for diagnostics and remote control – these latest generation machines are breaking new ground in the manufacture of containers with multi-layer material. CCMM technology has all the ingredients to become a leading new global technology, just as the launch of the first SACMI CCM compression presses in the late Nineties revolutionised plastic cap production.
Thanks to this latest installation, SACMI expands its multi-layer technology into new markets, building on its success as best technical and technological partner from the very first stage of development of the product. At the same time, SACMI has also shown itself to be at the forefront of remote assistance services which are now extended from after-sales to all phases of shipment, testing and acceptance of the supply.
