Two new PHO 700 presses – the most powerful and versatile in the range - recently started up at the Pomeranian Voivodeship factory, Poland. They come complete with automatic (OFM) and robotized (ROF) finishing systems. That’s how Lubiana boosts its growth strategy based on automation ensuring the highest quality standards in the market.
Leading tableware manufacturer in Poland, and one of the most important players in the European market, ZPS Lubiana SA has chosen SACMI-SAMA isostatic pressing technology to boost its growth strategy ensuring the highest quality standards in the market.
Already a long-standing customer of SACMI’s, ZPS Lubiana SA has recently started up two new PHO 700, the most powerful press in its category, capable of handling pieces up to 480 mm diameter unfired. Versatility, efficiency, quality and process repeatability are the hallmarks of this solution which, with the latest GREEN series, focuses on sustainability, with the guarantee of a reduction in consumption of up to 30% compared to traditional solutions.
The innovative portfolio of technical solutions for presses – from the tools to the membranes, up to the automation systems developed with Gaiotto – is completed by integration downstream with the OFM-8 automatic finishing machine for fettling round and non-round articles, as well as the ROF4. The latter is a revolutionary finishing solution made up of 4 robots which provides the maximum level of automation and efficiency to handle any type of piece, including those with irregular shapes and pieces with maximum unfired height up to 15 cm. The system is also equipped with a system for piece detection by cameras to guarantee the highest precision when positioning the article and with data transfer in real time from the machine to the robot.
With the purchase of these two new PHO 700 presses, ZPS Lubiana SA - founded in 1969 and exporting to 40 countries - has made a strategic choice to increase production versatility, concentrating on articles with the greatest added value, thanks to the boosted power output (with reduced energy consumption) and integration with robotized solutions. In this way the company revitalizes its growth strategy based on automation to ensure the highest quality standards in the market and improves versatility, precision and process repeatability guaranteed by the robot.
Start-up was completed successfully at the factory based in Pomeranian Voivodeship – one of ZPS Lubiana SA two production plants in Poland – to the full satisfaction of the customer. At the same time, energy revamping of the existing presses was also completed, further showing SACMI-SAMA’s commitment to support the customer throughout the entire lifetime of the machine and plant to get the very best out of the investment at all times.
