This 11th edition of Indian Ceramics (2-4 March 2016) at the Gujarat University Exhibition Centre in the city of Ahmedabad will see the Sacmi Group play a major part at CFI (Ceramic Forum International) workshop, which this year focuses on energy-saving and product quality improvement technologies.
The first talk, entrusted to Gaiotto, the Sacmi Group company specialised in the manufacture of machines and plants for glazing and automation, will give industry specialists an illustration of the positive effects on the production process that stem from implementation of robotised glazing solutions. Increased productivity, machining precision and process optimisation – the first advantages of Gaiotto-developed automated systems – are then accompanied by better workplace health and safety and lower energy consumption and emissions, factors to which the growing Asian economies are paying increasing attention as they demand advanced, in-line solutions that comply with the most modern international standards.
The talk by Gaiotto – entrusted to Giorgio Renolfi of Sacmi Imola – will be followed by two others from SAMA Maschinenbau, the Sacmi Group company based in Weissenstadt (Germany) that designs and builds plants for the tableware and technical ceramics industries. Both talks will be given by Harald Bieker. The first concerns the latest innovations for tableware manufacture, with a particular focus on optimisation and reduction of process-linked consumption. That specific focus will then shift, in the second talk, to the state-of-the-art of large-scale ceramic insulator manufacturing, the other key business for this German firm.
This, then, is the background of knowledge and experience with which Sacmi aims to reinforce its position on the Indian market. And all with reference to another key local facility, SACMI ENGINEERING (INDIA) PVT. LTD, which will be making good use of the Ahmedabad fair to do some networking with local and international companies (over 250 exhibitors invited) and specialised operators (over 6000 visitors are expected at the fair, which has over 8000 square metres of exhibition space). The event, which will also be holding the CFI workshop, is also supported and sponsored by Ceramitec and Ceramics China, Asia’s biggest ceramics events.
